Community Involvement

Improving patients’ lives by helping them attain healthy, happy smiles makes a big difference! In addition to our day-to-day responsibilities at our practice, there are many social causes that we feel passionate about and drawn to.

There are tremendous oral health disparities in the United States. Early childhood caries is the most common chronic childhood disease, being five times more common than asthma. Research shows that approximately one in four children ages 3-5 and 6-9 living in poverty in the United States have untreated dental caries. Using our compassion, resources, and skills, we aim to make a difference and bring care to those in need.

To kick off our oral health initiative, we have partnered with Orchard’s Children Services in Southfield to help treat children in need. Annually, we host a number of events in which we offer free dental care and lectures at local schools to help educate our community on the importance of oral health care. There are over 7,000 children under the care of Orchard’s Children Services. Being that we are one practice with limited resources, our efforts only impact a portion of the children in need. Our aim is to bring awareness to this matter and grow our team by bringing dentists and supporting staff on board to help make a bigger impact to improve the status of early childhood caries.
